How is the offensive line play expected to be this upcoming season?

Way better on speed of getting rid of the ball, alone. Far easier to pass-defend for 2.5 seconds than 3.5, 4, or more

Our defense wasn't that great last year vs those types of offenses so I am not sure if this is good or bad

At the very least, the D will get more quality reps in practice against it. Could be a win-win.

Wait, are you back to liking the 2017 offense now? You flip flop on Canada so much I can never tell where you actually stand on him.

Yeah because we don't have history or anything to back us up.

And, ironically, this helps Orgeron/E/Brady's offense makeover greatly. It is not as though there is an option. It is pretty clear that the installation of a credible passing offense is "do or die". I think Miles thought he could sluff it off. No way O can sluff it off. O knows this 100%.

I actually agree completely with you here. And for the record, I wasn't a big fan of Les Miles OR Ed O. And I didn't start out that way for either one of them.

Do we have a quick short passing game?

Holy frick my arse Batman. If we have a quick short passing game with 2 of the top 10 RB's in the class, we COULD be a a top offense in the SEC for once.

The offensive line will get help from Brady implementing more short timing routes but there will still be games where we don’t want to get into a shootout offensively and the line will have to prove they can still be a classic LSU ground and pound team. Games against Texas, Auburn and A&M it will be very important to control the clock with the running game. On the other end we don’t stand a chance against Bama unless we can back their defense up by throwing the ball. I’m cautiously optimistic about the season because I do believe the o-line will be improved based on experience alone plus Burrow has a year under his belt. This is the best chance we have of ending the streak even if we do have to play the game in Tuscaloosa.

Could you elaborate on Brady's history? I don't know much about his offense.

Are you kidding? I absolutely love it when I can use it as a factual example to show how big of idiots some of the Rantards are.

Multiple threads about the offense being different, short passing game, etc.

Each and every time you have the braindead that have never watched a football game claiming that they've been hearing it for 10 years and haven't seen anything different. Ha Ha Ha Ha !!!!

And the ones saying they'll have to see it to believe it. How fricking dumb can these people be? Or how can they be on this board while never having watched an LSU football game?

Eaux has been the permanent coach for 2 years and LSU has run two different offenses. And still the "genius" Rantards just can't wait to prove beyond a doubt how big of morons they truly are.

So, yes I am back to liking the 2017 offense now. It brings me great joy and a lot of smiles every time it is forgotten by the simpletons who act like we have had the same coach for the last 15 years.

I’m looking forward to the third offense in 3 years.

And that’s not sarcasm.

God I hope all of this comes to fruition. I NEED a good LSU offense paired with the always elite defense.

All of these great things that we hear about the offense seem to magically disappear once the season starts. Has been happening for about 10 years now

Fortunately our returning QB is a known quantity and is coming off a very good, not great season.
