Defensive coaches are "not happy" about their D's adjustment to the new offense.

Orgeron was asked, "Do the defensive coaches give a "tip of the hat" to the new offense?" O laughed and said, "No, no, everybody's mad. The defensive coaches are not happy. That goes for the head coach too, cause I'm a D coach, too. But I'm glad to see offense doing it."

O said the D did well against the long ball. But it appears that the D has its hands full with the quick short passing game.

At about 2:15 of the presser on Tuesday:

You mean the one that will magically disappear once the season starts?

Imagine that, a quick slant to a 5 star receiver DOES work

Remember when Jordan Jefferson was the next Drew Brees at the manning passing academy?

All of these great things that we hear about the offense seem to magically disappear once the season starts. Has been happening for about 10 years now

He’s setting the bar pretty high with all this lip service.

If the first play of the season is a quick slant to Marshall or Chase for like a 6 yard gain this board might implode

In related news, the LSU coaches are installing red zone plays with Russell Shepard at QB that will be impossible to stop once the season starts.

Not true. Last year at this time, before the spring game, Orgeron was asking fans to be patient with the offense and not to judge it as a finished product because he knew it wasn't going to look good in said spring game.

Yep! He better deliver or he will have the same fate as Miles, only much quicker.

Nothing to do but take it at face value. No excuses.

Hasn't it appeared we do every single year for the past 10 years, according to coaches in spring practices?

^^^These aren't "glass half-empty" guys - these are "glass can't POSSIBLY hold water" guys. LOL

And, ironically, this helps Orgeron/E/Brady's offense makeover greatly. It is not as though there is an option. It is pretty clear that the installation of a credible passing offense is "do or die". I think Miles thought he could sluff it off. No way O can sluff it off. O knows this 100%.

Only for Rantards who can't remember all the way back to 2017. And don't know enough about football to even realize 2018 was much different also.

I love these threads that expose the morons.
