i don't use any system for screens. i live in an old home, with wooden windows, screens and porch rails. When screening the porch, i nailed 3/4x3/4 strips around each opening and stapled the screen to the strip, then covered it with a wooden strip made for that application.

the only real modernization has been buying an air-driven stapler that uses T50 staples.
