My sister is a crunchy hippy in Portland and her son has two obviously female teachers.
However, BOTH of them consider themselves gender neutral and prefer the pronouns "they/them/their". They actually TEACH the pre-schoolers not to assume someone's gender.
My uptown Nola Catholic mother visited on grandparents day and apparently looked like someone took a shite in the middle of the room and ate it when they explained this to her.
