We run the same 3-4 scheme that Bama does for the most part. Their DL make more plays because they’re more talented across the board and win the individual battles. If anything, Aranda’s version of the 3-4 is more aggressive for the DL when compared to Bama’s scheme.

I mean, if Greg Gilmore had 7 sacks from his NT position, anyone should be able to excel in Aranda's DL. I do, however, believe that we need someone to break through as an All-American for us to start getting better recruits there. There's some negative recruiting going on. It shouldn't be this hard to get recruits at the position, especially from our own state.

And have CRAZY depth allowing for talented players to rest up and come back in fresher.
