Kentucky and Duke basically field a completely new team EVERY YEAR

Yea, muh Kentucky and Duke. The literal blue bloods of college basketball. Like Bama and Clemson in college football, the top notch players want to go to these schools. They don't have to be cajoled, coaxed, even seduced to choose these schools.

I hope Will Wade skates more than anyone and proves no wrongdoing...but it's not looking promising.

You're under the impression that Clemson is a blue blood?

Are you saying those 4 schools don’t offer incentives?

Clemson was not considered a "blue blood" in college football for a long time.

Hell, I'd argue LSU has a longer history of being a basketball "blue blood" than Clemson does in football.

ETA, plus my point was sort of that college football to basketball is apples to oranges. You can create an elite basketball team in one year much easier than you can a football team. It's not commonplace, but it shouldn't really be deemed unfathomable.
