I've seen the hate for HOAs here for awhile, but as of yesterday I get it. Got a letter that our dues are going up slightly... that's fine...to put up a new perimeter fence around the subdivision...WTF?!?
My house has an open backyard which opens up to woods. The view from the windows and the patio was a huge part of the reason we bought this house. Now they want ME to pay THEM to obstruct my view.... frick off!
Does anyone here know if I have any legal ground to stop this stupid shite? What could/would they do if I disassembled the portion that encloses my property?
Screw them and their fence...I'm gonna find a way to keep my view

Is the purpose of the fence for crime reduction? There's got to be some sort of reason for the fence.

there is going to be development behind you most likely and those woods are going away. you will appreciate the fence when they build a gas station 500 ft behind your house.
