Baseball may have been meant to be a methodical game but it wasn’t meant to have 5 pitchers throwing in a single game for a single team or having 4 outfielders and your SS playing second base.

I’m not sure how I feel about rule changes like this either but you can’t use how Baseball was “meant” to be played to argue against them

Maybe not, but all of those things are still playing under the same rules we've always had. Things I've seen proposed are like limiting the number of pitching changes per game or per inning. I've also seen things like adding the DH to the national league. If I had it my way, the DH would be eliminated entirely, but that's another topic and another can of worms.
