That's the rub. Games are taking forever due to all the pitching changes and bullpen specialization. They'll either have to radically change the rules or accept longer games. There's no easy answer.

The problem is any change to significantly speed up the pace of the game would completely change the game itself. Baseball is and was intended to be a methodical game.
