I'm looking for some insight. I have a 70# minnkota riptide 24v, on an old heavy fiberglass boat.

I'm looking at lead acid or maybe gel batteries. Also considering size/weight vs capacity.

Group 27?
Group 29?
Group 31?

Bigger is usually better when it comes to batteries. There is always using 4 x 6 volts to up some storage as well

I'm running 3 Group 27's in my 21' bass boat. Went with the Duracell's from Sams. Hard to beat that deal, imo.

Sam' Club Duracel AGMs

Bigger is better but I run 27's with no problems.
