True, but this cat ain't going to be running 100 crab traps a day. Fishing for perch/bass a few times a month the Mako would be fine... and they ride better.

Wettest riding boat since the titanic.

Yes indeed. One of my fishing buddies has one and the only way you’ll stay dry is if it’s slick calm seas. It’s a good boat to fish out of once it’s anchored, though.

If you are in soft/ calm water, a Carolina Skiff is awesome. They draft in inches of water and hold up. If your crossing sounds/ wake/ or rough waters, you will get beat to death and be soaked.

You're going to love it.

Nobody has ever bought a Carolina Skiff and said "I hate this piece of shite".

Those talking about a wet ride in chop are probably not talking about a inshore lake like West Point where you are never further than 200 yards from shore.

Your boat is perfect for West Point and Georgia!

I have a 238 DLV and it rides very well in rough water. I do get a little spray when it's really windy, but overall no complaints. Very solid boat.

I once got caught in a bad rainstorm at the marina in my J16. The back of the boat filled up with rain water to the point where water was lapping in. I had a 25 HP Yamaha on the back and the boat was still floating.

True for any boat if you're quartering on the wind. There isnt any avoiding that
