These guys know where they stand on the team and the depth chart. They know how they measure up to their teammates.

Well with the NCAA’s precedent they’ve set on approving waivers very liberally, I’m not all too surprised. I would expect to see more and more of this nation-wide. A lot of entitlement with millenials. Sad

Oh, of course, that's precisely the impression I get from this. It's just that I wonder what ever happened to pride and hard work to MAKE yourself a candidate for playing time. Giving up after one year speaks volumes about their lack of self confidence. Pretty disappointing.
At least Davin Cotton has pulled his name out of the portal.

It is very sad, indeed. A commitment should mean at least a LITTLE something. These kids are walking away for next to nothing, with little to no resistance from the NCAA, as you pointed out.

No kid on scholarship is gonna wake up and say hey I think I’ll transfer.
They’ve had a heart to heart with coaching staff and either been advised to look elsewhere or didn’t like wha they were told about expectations and PT next year.

Your opinion is that no player has ever transferred of his own accord?
That's......well it's stupid.
ETA: For the last time, LSU currently has over 30 WRs and TEs on the roster. If Orgeron has to start asking players to leave, that's probably where he's going to start.

Yeah we’ve been short on good defensive linemen for about 7 years, not sure why everyone is starting to panic now. It’s like they just found out about it.

What’s happening here is these kids like getting re-recruited. They want to have their arse kissed. I guarantee Cotton is getting a lot of attention from the coaches and now Livingston wants them to “show him the love.” This portal thing is going to be a nightmare.

Really?! Is this like testing water? What is the benefit of entering name? Does this mean other university's can contact him or he can talk to other university's? Do you enter portal to call another university make contact let them know you are thinking about transferring and may be good to go next season... take your name out play the year and next year the university you contacted has now made scholly space and you transfer the next year to the university you talked to???
Like what is the deal? What's the benefit? Does it put the coaches on notice or what?
