I would be coming from the south as it is. Pretty much looking for somewhere with good bass/bream fishing around the Saucier area.

Thought it looked like a promising area but I’m open to suggestions.

You and me both man. My family lives in Hattiesburg and aside from a few private places, there’s just not that much to write home about. Lot of people in that area drive down to the coast and inshore fish, or tow a couple hours to bass fish. South MS really needs a large reservoir but I’m afraid that ship has sailed. Pearl River and Pascagoula river are the closest areas that support even small club level bass tournaments, and depending on time of year bream and crappie are good in both.

I live just north of Saucier. Been here since 2015 and I have yet to find a good lake for bass fishing. Of course, I haven’t looked for a while. All of the public places get fished pretty hard.

There is a place called Lake Toc-O-Leen on 26 that might be worth a look. I haven’t been there but it looks promising.
