I agree, the formula is a bit flawed. But, my point was, we are now getting into the area of “no excuses”. Basically (and I may have expressed it in an unclear way) I’m saying everything going forward is pretty much 100% Orgerons success or 100% his failure. He’s been given enough time to “rebuild”. He has “his players and staff”. Aside from something crazy happening like Burrow getting a season ending injury, we should see vast improvements this year. That’s pretty much the only position that losing a player at would be a legitimate excuse for not seeing improvement. You can’t say “but we lost a linemen A”. If he was truly doing his job, he would have recruited well enough on the lines that losing one or two guys wouldn’t totally rank your season. No, the QB position is the ONLY position in football where losing that one player for the season is a legitimate excuse for your season to go poorly.
