Great class but let’s be honest, ESPN doesn’t do their homework enough to understand all the teams needs. Obviously if they did, they would’ve brought up the need on the d-line.

It was four, actually

And that isn’t even taking DE into account

Problem is the way that bama beats us every year. It starts and ends with with their beating the shite out of our ol. Then when our d gets tired their ol beats our dl.

Till we either out recruit them or out scheme them we won’t beat them.

This was very important for o and he fell on his face.

Truth, plain and simple.

That's like being on minimum wage and then 3 years later you are $.50 above minimum wage. Sure you got a pay bump and are "technically in a better place than you were 3 years ago"

Fonua, Ward, Parker are quite some “backups”

One of these isn't like the others. Fonua.

Fonua will be as big of a contributor as Travez Moore was last season.

You’re either getting better or you’re getting worse......there ain’t no third direction.

I dont think getting out recruited by 3 other SEC schools is getting better, either.

If you can’t see how the program overall is progressing in the right direction I don’t know what to tell you…

You are cool with the DL depth? You know, the trenches where games are won?

We have enough bodies there (unlike '17 for instance). The problem is we don't have playmakers (that can stay healthy or in shape). The difference b/t us and Bama is that Q Williams redshirts and then sat the bench because he was behind guys like Da'ron Payne and Raekwon Davis and Jonathan Allen. Rashard Lawrence might be as good as the worst one of those 4 guys IF he could stay healthy.

We don't need bodies. We need difference makers.

That said, it used to be a problem of no depth or playmakers. Baby steps, I guess?

As they should be. We have a great class. It's not perfect, but it puts us in the top tier. Next year is shaping up to be a fantastic haul, as well.

Clemson just embarrassed Alabama in the Natty, and our class is ranked better than theirs.

This isn't a place you come to for rationality or logical reasoning.

It's where you come to to argue that Bill Belichick could very well be our next coach and claim that we consistently have the most talent on any given football field. It's just the coaching that holds us back. Which is always code for "I could be coaching."

Under the old national signing day everyone would be excited about the ones we got but under this new split date people forget and are bemoaning the one who got away. He s Tiger Bait. Celebrate a really good class that fills lots of needs

At least it is a 2020 problem (or even a 2021 problem tbh). For the needs of the 2019 squad, this class was pretty much everything you could have hoped for, which does count for something. If the freshmen and sophomores don't turn into quality starters, 2020 and 2021 could be really rough.

As a long time fan I deserved a little better. But overall I'm satisfied.
