There's an ocean between LSU and Bama. It's really only a slow flowing creek between OU and Bama. They're close.

Georgia can play with Alabama as well, yet we just accept we will never compete with them any more.

LSU has the possibility to compete with Alabama, but we just chalk it up as a loss.

I feel we should be able to compete with just about anyone. I feel LSU could be like Clemson and Georgia, and even OU and have the athletes to at least put up points on them and make it interesting.. but we have an offensive culture issue against them. Those teams aren't afraid of them on offense.

Any ways, I won't expect to beat Alabama.. but LSU has no business dropping more than 2 games.

I just feel like we are becoming more and more content with being mediocre. I don't remember ever feeling like we weren't elite over the post decade.. even when we weren't exactly elite. Now it's "an ocean of difference."

This is my point. We get beat over the head with NFLSU crap and how awesome our recruits, facilities, coaching staff are. Can I not expect better than a 3 loss season?

You wanna know how Bama got to where they are today? They didn’t accept mediocrity. They saw the coach they wanted that everyone said was unattainable and didn’t let him say no. They didn’t hire within their staff because he excelled at recruiting. When their offense struggles, they go out and get the most qualified guy that brings some innovation that matches the talent in the field. They didn’t promote a position coach that last was an OC when Murder She Wrote was still on TV.
