My argument was never with this concept, it was why do we teach our kids to take this to the extreme?
I will never assume that there isn't people in society who for whatever reason or belief system, teach their children that to get ahead in life, you have to lie, cheat, and steal. I am certain these parents are out there.

Why do we knowingly hurt ourselves to the point that we know it is better to come clean and take our punishment, do some cultures in or society, still preach that you never admit to it?
Again, it's human nature. But yes it's prevalent in certain parts of society. I just believe that, if you are absent in your child's life, no matter what age, they will get their values and morals from the people or person they are around most. If that's bad people, your child is going to absorb that. If it's good people, they will absorb that. So goes in certain parts of society when parent(s) are not around, they get their values and morals from street life or less desirables.
