One year I was at Crested Butte and for 5 days I never saw the sun and it never got above single digits. Wind chill was hitting -20 consistently. At one point, one day they shut down the lifts because of white out and wind. It might have been hitting that -40 with wind range. That was freaking cold. That was about 25 years ago. Maybe more.
