Ok.

Then why wouldn't you be all for looking to the future and getting somebody in a passing game coordinator/ CO OC to take over when Steve inevitably steps down. O is trying to build something here. I think it'll pay dividends in the future.

He's not trying to build, he has built. This team is absolutely loaded with talent and Coach O has circled this season on the calendar expecting a championship.

What OC worth a shite wants to come in and be some kind of protege to Steve Ensminger for an indeterminate time period in hopes of MAYBE being the main guy when he retires? I thought this whole idea of a “coach in waiting” was a relic. It’s wholly impractical.
