Was told he is fast but isn’t elusive. May have worked under Canada with jet sweeps but doesn’t seem to fit what O and Slinger want to run.

I don't think Provens makes it more than 2 years here.

If he couldn't get PT this year, then I don't think it happens for him unfortunately.

Can he play cornerback or safety?

Why give up on Provens? We haven't even seen what he can do.

I've always had the impression that he was a reach last year.

He's fast enough, but I don't think he has the hips to play corner. If he has to move from offense, his skills would translate best to free safety.

I disagree. If Terrance Alexanders hips were good enough to play corner for LSU, Tae would be fine. Kid is an amazing athlete. Moving to CB may actually be a great decision for him long term if he actually has the ability to play at the next level.

He looked like he has the potential to be a good 3d down back in his high school film. He’s just small for an every down back. Let him develop and beef up some. Time will tell.

If I were him I’d be focusing on gaining a little strength and getting on a special team unit. He seems like he could be an option at kick returner or gunner on punt team.

This is a big year for Provens. Anytime, you have fresh young talent show up and you're one of the upperclassman on the team, it's now or never. Either you earn some serious playing time, or you start looking to transfer. I hate it, but that's the reality of the situation!

Very true...same could be said for Chris Curry, I think. I'm routing for them both to hit the weights and train hard this off season.

I would think if the coaching staff made a "special" play just for one person, they see a potential in that person...they just have a problem with getting him on the field.
