Why do billionaires deserve to pay a greater percentage of their income than someone who makes 20k a year?
If I have two arms and the guy next to me has none, I'm going to help him carry his things.

For the record, I make good money and I feel that I should pay a higher rate than people who make $50k a year because I already have everything I want and need. And trust me, people making $10 million a year don't care about the money. It's just the measuring stick for success. Money for the ultra rich is about ego, not about what it can buy.

That's charity, not taxation

And that's your choice to do so. Not the government chopping off one of your arms to make things more equitable for the armless guy.

So you send in more taxes to the government each paycheck than is required, right?

You can probably just tell them to keep any refund for overpaying.

You know, cause you “feel” you should pay a higher rate.

I say frick em’. They get more than enough already.

And if you “feel” I need to pay more, frick you too.

As someone with a tax practice that caters to the super rich, you are very very wrong. I have many clients in the top tenth of a percent of wage earners, and they care very much about what they pay in taxes, and seek overly legal tax avoidance measure possible.

Some also champion for higher taxes while to try to avoiding paying them themselves.

So why not voluntarily pay more money? Nothing is stopping you.
