I mean hell, justin herbert was expected to go off the board #1 because of the need for a QB is so bad and he is coming back.

I’m thinking that if Devin came back and got hurt( I’m sorry to even say that because it’s never going to happen) that Tiger nation would start a go fund me and cover whatever he would have lost in signing bonuses and then some. Right?

trying to remember who was the last guaranteed top 10 pick that decided to stay.

Matt Leinart??

Their have been plenty since Leinart. Andrew Luck was projected #1 overall in 2010 and came back. The cautionary tale of course is Matt Barkley who many felt would be a top 5 pick in 2011 but instead came back and slipped to the 4th round in 2012.

I'd love to see him come back but I don't see how he can improve his draft stock being that he's probably going to be a top 10 pick.

He isn’t coming back to improve his stock. He wants to have one more year of football without being a professional, and thinks we can compete.

Not sure why some people can’t fathom that someone likes playing in college and wants to get the most out of it. The college game is more fun for everyone involved.

He is awesome, seriously one of the best college players I have ever seen. He will be in the league as long as he wants.

Mr. Hangover

Good find. In the end he went with his heart. And yes that was a year before he signed. Nick Saban was at North Webster High School several times and Devin wanted to run the ball then. Saban told him what he wanted to hear. Ultimately LSU sold him on being a LB.

I’m telling you with 100% confidence that Devin White is coming back.

Justin Herbert was a top 10 pick as well. (Even though I don't see it)

In the past couple weeks I've asked a family member of his multiple times: 1. Is Devin going to leave early for the NFL? 2. When is he going to announce his decision? Although she's not known the answer to either question, that's really not all that surprising. If you recall, during his high recruitment he never really let on either way what his plans were until actually signing. FWIW, I fall into the camp that thinks he's struggling making a decision to leave early. I think the idea of team accomplishments, the feeling of brotherhood, the desire to have another shot at winning a championship at LSU and the goal of being recognized as the best ever LBer LSU's ever had mean something to him. Personally, I'd advise him to take his game to the NFL, but he's not asked me. Other notable college football players have spurned common wisdom and returned for their senior year (don't forget Peyton Manning). I don't think we'll know until the last second.

I watched a facebook live video of him getting his hair cut after the bowl game. Had people asking questions about his return for another year that he ignored. At the end of the video someone in the background (his barber) was pressuring him to answer the fans question. He stated "see you next year #7 out" and cut the video. I've tried to find the video and its since been removed so take it as you will.

If D White comes back that could single-handedly usher back in an age of championship competitiveness for LSU. It could be culture-changing.

Plus if that does happen, I would bet the farm that LSU and it’s donors would make sure that White is comfortable for the rest of his life with some sort of friend of the program type of job.

No they wouldn't.

I'll be honest, watching the video he shows all kind of pictures of former players on the wall and an older picture of himself. The way he was acting in the video he absolutely loves it here and I truly believe he wants to come back. The ending seemed like it was all a build up to announce his return which he ultimately did and hinted to coming back as #7. Draft Picks Barber Shop was the shop he was in and using a guy called Malveauxs phone to go live. I believe he comes back personally but what do I know?
