What’s your honest thoughts on Nancy and Chuck appropriating $12 billion (new bill) in foreign aid yet won’t cut half of that here in the US for the wall?

They shouldn’t negotiate with a guy using the tactics of a terrorist, otherwise he’ll just pull this same shite holding 800,000 people’s livelihoods hostage over and over and over.

Why do people in government think they have some kind of right to work there?

Jesus frick you dont create jack shite the taxpayers did and have always been at the whim of that reality

More reason to shut it down. There shouldnt be that many people in the federal government.

Government shutdowns have been happening for quite some time now. He’s drawing a line in the sand. Not some fake line like the last guy, but a real hardline

Times like this make me irrationally furious that Congress and the Executive are incapable of passing a budget. Do your goddamn jobs.

There is not one single person in the private sector that is not at risk of getting laid off at any time, for any reason. They are simply getting pay put on pause. That is a risk THEY are taking by accepting their position in the public sector. They are paid on average 17% more than their private sector counterparts, and receive benefits excessively higher than any private company could afford. With hardly any incentive for performance or risk of getting laid off. Those employees can kindly frick off

Federal Government vs. Private Employee Compensation

Oh and that's according to the CBO.

You are working the wrong angle.

quote:

The U.S. Department of Agriculture office, which oversees food stamps - official known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program - said recipients will receive their benefits in January. There are no assurances after that if President Trump and Congress fail to reach a funding deal to restore services to the 25 percent of government agencies, including the USDA, that are impacted by the shutdown.

This is where the rubber hits the road.
Try 42,000,000 people not getting their $175 a month for food.
