Still behind BAMA, but ahead of the rest of the west.

I'm not going to lie, I always thought UT was the rich school and A&M was always trying to play catch up. If you go look how much money this schools FOOTBALL program makes, much less the cash they could get if they needed... it's literally like putting in a cheat code against schools even like LSU Auburn and Alabama.

If the deal with Jimbo was to invest the money they are investing on top of his paycheck, and they just stick with the mentality that they will spend more than others - there isn't any reason, at all that they won't be beating Bama.

eta - if we keep louisiana locked down and end up getting recruits like we are doing from west coast.. we could still be in the hunt, but make no mistake, A&M is going upwards

Nah! After a certain point money gets diminishing returns, and Bama, LSU, Georgia, and TAMU are over that point. No one is going to win by outspending the others.

Case in point: Much is made of Bama using a bunch of analysts. Everyone is copying Saban and catching up, but what innovations is Saban working with now that we’ve yet to hear about? He figured out a legal way to give his players cars. He figured out a way to get around the personal contact limitations by using video teleconferencing. None of these things cost a lot of money. The analysts mostly worked almost for free to get their careers started.

^This. I know they've spent an enormous sum, but the payoff for the Aggies will be impressive. Jimbo is the rill dill, Bill.
