Nothing is guaranteed. It's risk vs reward.

No. Worst case is that he gets a career ending injury next year and never makes any money at all. He could also be at risk of losing academic eligibility. Other risks are getting beat out or even simply not improving at all. Then he missed out on at least $130k - likely more. He can pay for his last year of school with that if that's what this is truly about.

Knocking these kids for trying to make money is silly. He doesn't owe anybody anything.
