Our coaching staff agreed on passing up Mario Goodrich to take a swing at Pat Surtain, along with slow playing Etienne to take a swing at Cam Akers. Their evaluations can be wrong, and they’ve done some really stupid shite in the past because of the 5* obsession too so I’m not really sure how this helps your case

Literally every single person who’s ever seen him play in real life? Do you think they’re just making it up for fun or something? People would be giving him more credit if it was due.

Do you understand how recruiting works btw? Do you honestly think they’re recruiting Sopsher because he’s a hard worker? They’re recruiting him because he has a ton of raw talent and they’re taking a huge gamble and hoping they can whip his arse into shape in college, which probably won’t happen a la Montgomery, Johnson, Davenport, Valentine, Shelvin, etc. Taking a guy like that with attitude and work ethic issues when we need a sure thing would be idiotic, but the coaching staff has made idiotic decisions in the past so who am I to judge?

So let’s just give up and go all in on a kid who’s probably going to Bama while we have to take his brother who, again, is playing as much football as I am right now. Because that worked out so well with Akers and Surtain and all. In half of your post you’re touting the coaching staff, and in the other half you’re saying that we’ve boxed ourselves into a corner and struck out so many times and so badly that we don’t even have other options on the DL despite one commit. Is the coaching staff omniscient with their evaluations and planning or do they frick up sometimes? Make up your mind, genius.
