It is soooo frustrating to keep reading post after post after post wondering why the team consistently under performs and asking everything under the sun about coaching, about Xs and Os and Alleva this or that. It's all about the Jimmies and Joes, not Xs and Os. Until LSU can convince the better players to start attending school here, above average is the ceiling.

Weren’t Alexander and Lawrence highly rated?

It’s the coaching. Either we are terrible at identifying D line talent or we aren’t developing them or putting them in a place to succeed.

To an extent it's about the Jimmy and Joe's. Once you have them then it's all about the x's and o's and teaching the details/tricks of the trade. Putting them in advantage situations on both sides of the ball. I've seen it many times when less talented teams beat a superior team because they were outcoached.
