About halfway through Broken Earth right now - It has a cool magic concept, one which somewhat mirrors some things in something I've been sort of outlining over the past year or so. I also like how she does the introduction - you essentially see how the magic system / organization is viewed from three different perspectives as the story gets moving.

While perusing the free nook books at B&N I came across the Niseyen Galaxy series by Maxine Millar. I read the first 4 of them and going back for the other 2 they are pretty good reads, a lil verbose but that dont bother me I like to read. Interesting sci fi and worth every penny ya dont pay for em.
