+2. Great analogy. Sad and somewhat funny but true!

Saban signs the #1 LT prospect in the nation, and can barely find a spot for him on the OL. Leatherwood wound up winning the OG spot.

Saban signs the #1 RB prospect in the country, and he's a backup to the previous year's #1 QB prospect.

Saban benches the previous year's #1 dual-threat QB for another #1 overall QB.

Saban signs the #1 WR prospect in the country and he's buried on the depth chart.

It's not the offense. It's the players.

The only thing O can do about that is provide a better value proposition than what Alabama offers. Easier said than done.

Did you even bother reading the responses or looking at the upvote/downvote ratio of the OP?

We couldn't score the ball on them this year bc we missed fgs, blew opportunities in the red zone and couldn't block their defensive line. The latter of those reasons is the obvious one why we couldn't put up points this year on them. Their dline man for man was a lot better than ours and it showed. Burrow had no time, our backs had no holes and it limited what we could do on offense from a play calling standpoint. Anyone that has played football knows that the games are won and lost at the line of scrimmage...well, we got whipped, BAD. I don't care what offense you run, you cannot be successful if the opposing team is living in the backfield and creating all sorts of havoc there the entire fricking game. It is as simple as that. If you watched uga vs Bama this past weekend, you noticed that their qb had time to throw the ball and their rbs had holes to run through. That's the key difference, that uga executed against bamas front 7 and we couldn't all night long. I believe the reason for our poor performance at the LOS against Bama is a combination of our lack of experience as a unit, talent, depth, and confidence as a unit to execute against their monsters up front. We will improve next season imho bc our entire line is returning beside's brumfield, who has been underwhelming as a senior, and we will have more depth built up, more experience as a cohesive unit up front, and more talent coming in to make guys compete and really earn a spot. ..instead of being just good enough to play over a guy that just isn't ready to play yet, or isn't talented enough in the first place. Magee sucks, brumfield didn't play well when he did play this year. Deculus, hines, traore, Charles, cush, Cole smith and others are all young and have a lot of potential. They will improve next year and I see our talent we have coming in with this recruiting class really helping out and maybe some of them starting next season. If we manage to get ed Ingram back, we will have a really solid line with a lot of starting experience in big games as a unit. Geaux tigers.

bullshite

The players have always been there. Julio Jones signed 10 years ago. Saban rapidly evolved his offense because he’s smart and saw where the game was going.

He rapidly evolved his defense too. See anymore 260lb LBs? No you don’t.

He’s many steps ahead most college coaches and several miles ahead of Ed.

Fine enough that he isn't changing anything schematically.

He radically changed things schematically after Les left and Canada was hired. Then he radically changed the scheme again. And you’ve got 12 upvotes on this idiotic post.

Wrong. He wore the uniform, gave up sweat, blood and maybe some tears. You never even started. You're just some butthurt keyboard warrior who cheered him on right through the most recent game the team has played.

And then you quit on him.
