Border Collies are smart because the shepherds left them alone with the herds and they had to solve any problems that arose.
Aussie Shepherds at 69 - too low and not consistent with other lists.

I keep hearing about how border collies are too smart for their own good.
If you don’t keep them occupied, they’ll find a way to keep occupied. Like disassembling a porch one board at a time.

Fixed it for you.
Think about it, the criteria here is not independent problem solving "get yourself out of a trap" stuff, it is working with people. That is why working and herding breeds do best in these tests.
