I just asked what the scholarship obligations are.
There has to be some kind of incentive for a player to hold up their end of the deal.
I guess its the same as the houses odds at the casino. Some cash out while ahead.

that is the deal.
Sitting out the bowl game is more than just risk of getting injured. He is probably dropping out of school, hiring and agent, and starting to workout for the NFL pre draft process. Which is important, especially for a guy that needs to add some good weight.
