Don't stay there...not the best part of town.

Scottsdale is always the correct answer. You and your family will be MUCH safer. And Old Town has soooo much to do...you can even likely walk to a lot of stuff from your hotel.

This times about a trillion. And if you do the Marriot in Old Town the one on 3rd Avenue and Buckboard is a much better choice than the one on Scottsdale Road.
