Then at that point, what does it matter? This board claimed the game as meaningless. Surely it can be stricken from the books(sarcasm!!).

Play the game... end their streak. Have a great recruiting class... CEO figure out what you want for an offense and get the right person for it.

What a perfect bowl and opponent for O. Unreal.

I don’t like this

The real problem isn't that you feel this way, it's that O will coach this way. And he'll probably lose due to that. Get up early, up really close late, turns down the aggression, let's them back in to win. I expect this, but I'll watch anyway and root for a different result.

The Fiesta Bowl is a decent bowl game, but UCF isn't a very good opponent.

I'm shocked they're doing the Fiesta at 11:00am local time. I'll either still be hungover at kickoff or still drunk from the night before

What tha...? They didn't lose to A&M and Florida, and they didn't struggle with Southeastern, Louisiana Tech and Arkansas. And, they're 13-0! They sure look like a good team to me, and should of made the playoffs, in a sane system.

If we had next year’s bowl lineup applied to this year’s rankings, LSU would have been left out in favor of #20 Syracuse due to the ACC’s tie-in with the Orange Bowl according to Brett McMurphy.

Peach (semi): Bama vs. OU
Fiesta (semi): Clemson vs. ND
Rose: Ohio State vs. Washington
Sugar: Georgia vs. Texas
Orange: Syracuse vs. Michigan
Cotton: Florida vs. UCF

We are pretty fortunate this year.

PSA: Frontier has a flight for $325 round trip if you go LFT-PHX, leaving Dec 31st returning Jan 2nd. If you don't mind layovers on the way there and an early flight on the way back, this could save you about $150.

UCF is not a quality opponent. LSU by at least 20 - this is definitely not a challenge to LSU. They lost the QB that carried them through two undefeated seasons - they can't overcome that as they aren't Bama with two high caliber QB's.

No, they struggled to beat Memphis (twice), Navy, and Temple.

As always, I'm glad that Rantards aren't coaching our Tigers.

UCF is 100% a quality and capable opponent who can put up points in a hurry. They have a solid mixture of veterans and young guys and a hell of a lot more motivation to win than we do.

In their eyes, we stand between them and CFP legitimacy and consideration. Look at what they did to Auburn last year.

I expect to win this game because their weakness (defense) is more significant than our weakness (offense). We have also seen explosive offenses like theirs already this season. They have not seen defenses remotely close to ours.

I've watched highlights of several of their games. The running lanes they generate are enormous and receiver separation is laughable at times. They will have to fight for yards like they haven't yet this season.

But I expect the game to be competitive. Thankfully, we have improved at the kicking position since last year when ND was victorious due, in part, to missed field goals.

Agree. It's ALWAYS the same with LSU fans, thinking our opponent is not worthy to be on the field with LSU. I want to ask the question "when will our fans wise up and stop being so irrational?", but I already know the answer to that.

Book it. LSU will have to fight for this victory. I believe LSU will win, but they are going to have to earn it.

Ok? There's also a possibility that LSU drags its collective nuts all over ucf. Check out the difference in who we play and who they play. Look at the difference in the level that LSU recruits compared to how ucf does. I don't think LSU or any team should overlook any opponent no matter who it is or when and where you play them, period. However, if you are saying that LSU has no grounds to feel like we should win by 2 tds vs a team the caliber of ucf, then you're just not being realistic. If LSU plays it's best game and UCF plays it's best game, we win every time he of the difference in talent alone. That's all I believe our fans are getting at and it's based on facts. We just have a lot more talent than they do. Also, memphis, who gave ucf all they could handle 2 times this season, got blown out by missouri, lost to Tulane by 16, and lost to navy. Memphis had ucf beat the first game around and had its chances this past weekend. The tigers will be ready to play and that's why I'm confident, like a lot of our fans are, that we win this game...bc we should.
