I see people saying this but when I see the type of training they go through now, it's definitely much more intensive than prior to 9/11. We hadn't been in combat for basically 30yrs and the training had gotten stagnant. I know Desert Storm happened but that was basically air and armor, ground troops didn't do a whole lot.
