Caddo Parish
30 degrees, no wind
Pipeline
.270
Woke up everything in the woods before daylight, round stuck in the chamber that my bolt wouldn’t extract. Finally got it fixed.

Pop up blind looking down a road. Put it up yesterday evening and saw 2 small 8’s and 5 does. Nothing so far today. Have to leave in 30 minutes to go to work so it better happen soon.

That sucks, but should be a damn fine morning to be in the woods. About to wake up little bootlegger...gotta take him for his 2 month shots this morning, and I'm not looking forward to it

St. Helena Parish (barely)
38*, N wind
CVA Optima, 50 cal
Lock-on on the edge of an old, thick cutover looking down a fire lane
Just like old school completely exposed to the elements.
Well, almost. At least now I’ve been able to afford good, warm clothes from head to toe.
Back in the 90s I used to literally freeze my butt off...and feet, and hands, and ears, and legs...
