Almost everyone I served with (while serving) had a college degree and many had advanced degrees (enlisted). I can’t think of one person I served with that does t have at least an undergrad now.
I know plenty of Ivy League grads in the military and this thought that idiots are infantry is so far off base it isn’t even funny. Sure, there are laundry specialists and cooks, but the vast majority of people in the armed forces are more than capable of graduating from LSU.
