It’s a win for all:

Gets rid of Doug Jones in 2022.

Gets him out of the SEC.

Cheating is encouraged in politics.

There's enough useless nonsense on this board without injecting politics, guys.

I don’t care if he’s a communist: just get him out of SEC football.

Saban is a left wing liberal. That’s right Bama fans, your beloved iconic coach with a statue at your stadium voted Obama and then Hillary. ??

Did he truly support Hillary and Obama for President???? Wow, I always assumed he was a staunch conservative.

Nope, Saban and his family are old school Union Family Catholic Democrats from Midwest. Lots of those in my family as well. They still think the Democrats are the party of Harry S Truman and JFK. Truman is one of my favorite presidents in history and I did admire JFK's wit and intellect and he was no leftist liberal either. Unlike Saban and many other of the old ethnic Catholic democrats, I became a Reagan Democrat thus tend to vote more Republican in National elections. On other hand, I have supported Democrats in local elections such as Kip Holden for mayor and I think the current Governor is doing a good job, he certainly is not killing LSU with budget priorities unlike Jindal who I voted for twice. He damn near killed LSU.

Interesting. I never knew all that about Saban. For the record, I also supported Kip as mayor and JBE as governor. I thought Kip did a good job overall and I think JBE has done a solid job cleaning up the fiscal mess Jindal left.

Wow. With his intellect why would you assume that?

Yep he cheats. That’s how he’s got 5 championships. That’s how he’s got 8 wins in a row over LSU. He’s a flat out cheater. LSU has the same level of talent and just as good coaching staff but saban cheats so they win. That’s a fact.

Because of the simple fact that the football world, at least in the coaching ranks, is more or less dominated by men with conservative viewpoints. Our last HC at LSU, Les Miles, is very conservative, for example.

You know, I want to beat Bama as badly as the next LSU fan, but come on. Are you saying that Saban cheated when he won the 2003 Natty while at LSU? They were just better than us on Saturday and that's the bottom line.

Exactly. However Saban is supremely intelligent in comparison to Miles.
