I agree...The ones saying NO CHANCE are not looking at the WHOLE picture. We have to win to get in and they don't, we are at home and pissed about Devin White, this is their first real test this year, Burrow and our ST play are different this year, AND Hurts AND Tua are both injured, no matter what is being said about their conditions. We have a grand opportunity Saturday night..... This one is ours..The next one against them in January will be a whole different animal if the playoff pick picture goes down as I expect.

Yep... except in 2010 we won. They were better than us... in 2012 Bama much better than LSU. They won in OT. They tied it on last possession.. in 2014 Bama much better than LSU. Bama wins on last possession. in 2016 again Bama much better than LSU. One possession game.

The last 4 years maybe even 6 years Bama was clearly superior to LSU on the line of scrimmage. Much closer to parity this year. Bama is better at QB. The Gap at QB is not as big as the last few years. Can our O line perform and give Burrow some time. Can our receivers get any separation Can we stop the run and cover. We have the last three years. We just have not been able to move the, ball enough.

We do always play them tough. I'll give you that.

I just think our offense is abysmal this year. We didn't get the job done with fournette and guice. Our offense right now is the weakest ive seen it in a long time. Its going to be our Achilles heel.

thinking we have no chance is not being real. you can recognize that alabama should be favored, but it's extraordinarily negative to think we have no chance.

I hope they are all proven wrong. I’m picking for LSU to win. I’m a homer, I realize we have about a 40% chance to win though.

All your points are true and accurate but you can look at it another way that is also
Accurate. If this was a best of 3 or 5 series like Baseball, I would agree there was literally almost no chance LSU could win more than 1 game out of 3 or 5 or 7 for sure. On paper it just isn’t likely. That’s the awesome news it’s not a 7 game series— LSU just has to be better for one game on one day (Saturday) and shock the world.

Put it like this—would you say there was a better shot of LSU winning at home against this All-world Bama team on Saturday or maybe the absolutely dreadful Buffalo bills winning at the Minnesota Vikings (a team some consider a legitimate Super Bowl contender)a few weeks ago as 17 point road underdog? Most people would probably say LSU. Well, turns out Buffalo won quite comfortably in Minnesota for the biggest upset (according to Vegas lines) in 25 years.

I am looking at this game like the 1997 Florida game. LSU was a -16.5 home underdog
and on paper there wasn’t a chance in hell LSU should be anywhere near having a chance to win. Spurrier had won 7 straight (sound familiar?) games against LSU including boat racing us 56-13 the year before. All it took was a few big plays in the first half to get the crowd absolutely insane and it turned into a dog-fight that LSU ended up winning. LSU probably loses that game 49 out of 50 times on paper but on that particular October Saturday in 1997– LSU was the better team on the field. Why can’t LSU be that team this upcoming Saturday ?

If our offense is abysmal and our defense is good not great how are we 7-1?

The Auburn game was at Jordan-Hare with them having everything to play for at the time.. that was a good win

You say “we lost to Florida when there is no way we shouldn’t have” ...if we don’t fumble on the second drive in the red zone and go up 14-0, the swamp is silenced and we win that game

The offense has been inconsistent but abysmal is a stretch...they’ve scored on 80-90% of our opening drives this year. We haven’t done that in a LONG time.

In years past, if we were down by a TD or more against a good team it was over. Burrow has shown he can drive the ball the length of the field if need be to win a game.

I can’t even argue some of your points I’ve read. I know we still have concerns and Bama is very good. I could discuss in length why Bama might be a better team. But I’m just trying to get people buck. We can pull it off, just as much as Bama could skull drag us.

Combined records of Bama's opponents...29-36. Lsu...42-23. Doesn't say a whole lot but on paper Bama hasn't faced a "D" like ours...with or without D. White for 2 qtrs. I am optimistic that this team is different from years past. Anyone else have them at 7-1 at this point in the season? I didn't think so! At best I figured 7-5 if not 6-6 and Coach O on the hottest seat in CFB.

Alabama has the most raw talent in college football every year, without fail. The cult of Saban assures that. But to say LSU has no shot is just stupid. LSU is good enough to hang with anybody in college football nearly every year, and that is definitely true this year.

The game will likely be close enough that a couple of breaks here and there will be what decides the winner.

LSU can win this game but that depends on which offense shows up.

If the offense performs like they did in the Georgia game, I think we win. And I believe it will be by at least 10 points.

If the offense performs like they did in the first half of the Mississippi State game or the second half of the SE Louisiana game, we're gonna be in trouble. That's my take on it.

The concern I have is, we've only played one game all year where the offense didn't go thru some kind of disappearing act for a quarter or two of each game, and that was the Georgia game.

The defense should be able to keep us in the game. It's gonna be on the offense to win it, in my opinion.

Real fans ride or die with their team! The No-O's are just like the "Not my President" crowd. Orgeron is in charge for as long as he's here, STFU and deal with it or find a new team!

Exactly. I'm thinking they could run circles around us pretty easily.

Its going to take Burrow tossing for 300 yards and 3-4 TDs. I just don't know if he has it in him. Im not sure if our receivers can quit dropping balls long enough for it to happen.
That, plus the OL has to find a way to not be totally dominated by the Bama DL! Don't know if that's possible...…….

tad bit lesser defense.

In my not so humble opinion this is wrong. Yes they’ve given up more yards and points than in the past but most of that is in garbage time. They’ve blown everyone out early and have the 3rd string in late in games.

The Tinker Town Tiger Oracle says. "Alabama will fall inside of LSU Tiger Stadium at the hands of Ed Oregon's Fighting Tiger Football team. So make sure you are also under the lights there in LSU Tiger Stadium Saturday Night."

I'm not quite sure how this post matches up with my post, but since you responded to me, I'll respond back.

Just because my opinion of the offense may be different than yours, doesn't mean I'm not just as big a fan as you. You're no more a real fan than anyone else on this site.

Oh, now I see what your problem is. You're one of those dum-dums that like to inject politics into a conversation about sports.

No shite! I believe that's the way it works at all college football programs. The head coach is the man in charge. He makes the final decisions. He should get the lion's share of credit when good things happen, and the lion's share of blame when things go bad.

STFU and deal with it or find a new team!

Same to you my friend.
