I don’t think it’s good for our country that a president can do this unilaterally and without debate, creates too much executive power. This should go through congress.

He can't. This is just Trump's way of setting the agenda and forcing an issue to public discussion.

Clarification of the 14th through the courts via judicial oversight or legislative action from congress are required to end birthright citizenship.

You just came out of 8 solid years of governance by Executive Order, and all of Obama's fans were fine with it. Other than the ACA, I can't thi k of a single piece of legislation that was passed of substance. (And even that cost the Dems their majorities in Congress).

The entire purpose of the EO is to grant powers to the WH that don't require legislation. It should absolutely be challenged in the courts, and that's precisely what POTUS wants. No one has posed a real challenge to the 14A because there wasn't any chance of it being clarified.

Until now.

Trump is baiting the Dems to bring a challenge all thhe way to SCOTUS, so it's then settled.

Don't worry, all you need is a liberal just somewhere to stop it. We shouldn't allow citizenship for everyone in the family just because you snuck in your pregnant wife.
