Ah the reconstruction amendments. A brilliant example of politically motivated and stupid short sited measures by big government democrats aimed at addressing a symptom of a problem instead of the problem itself and having massive far reaching detrimental effects to the country that have nothing to do with the legislative purpose in the first place.

I would say any Reconstruction Amendments would have been done by the (Radical) Republicans, not Democrats.
