I still laugh at the shithole comments every time some thug does something stupid and it gets posted here.
If the mouth breathers could just see the crowds in the city this weekend they would understand.

right?!?
It’s the most visited city in the world.
Most of Uptown and Mid-City have completely transformed since Katrina. Some of gentilly is on the rise, Lakeview is Lakeview.
Houses a block off Magnolia and Valence that were once murder blocks, 10 years ago, have houses up today for 450k-600k
The neighborhoods are filling up with decent people and are becoming safer.
Most of the crime is committed by the same trash, on other trash, with the occasional crime against a tourist or decent local. Nothing more than any other large city though.
Other than that, the festivals, events, food, diversity, Saints, Pelicans make it a wonderful city. Close minded people disagree, but it doesn’t stop the millions who enjoy it, each year.
Proud New Orleanian and Public Servant.

It's odd how this board praises Birmingham but constantly shits on New Orleans. They're both shitty cities but Nola is far away better than Bham.
