The comments are gold. The entire article was pointing out how republicans have figured out how to make the rules and setup of a constitutional/representative republic work in their favor.
The dems are firing off hate comments towards the author about how "oh so the problem isn't that republicans are cheating, its that democrats aren't finding a way to cheat better? RREEEEEE".
Newsflash, it isn't cheating, it is playing by the rules of the game. You can't show up to play a football game, call it rugby, attempt to play by rugby rules and expect to win. The US is NOT A DEMOCRACY and never has been.
Stop complaining because the rules don't fit your "feelings" on what type of government we have in our country.

The author points out that Democrat's failing at these systems is an indictment of their party, not the system.
The system is setup so that your party needs to be broad in terms of reach and representation.
The Democratic party is now a hyper concentrated collection of minorities and freaks in the cities and the system is correctly punishing them for not having broader appeal.
