We also used to have a significantly smaller stadium in the good ole days

Meaning 80,000 people looked a lot more full, less traffic,

Combined with cheaper tickets and an overal cheaper game day experience. People were more likely to go.

LSU did mess up by expanding.

That last expansion did it in.

Going to see a live LSU game used to be special...no there is nothing special about it.

Not to mention going to the game was the only way to watch 75% of the games as recently as the late 90s

However students in the Old Days (late 60's) had to enter the lottery to get game tickets. I remember my brother saying he thought he never see a game and then his name came up and he got to see the Notre Dame game.
