Advice:
1. I'd get to campus as early as possible. For an 8:00pm game, I'd suggest as early as 11am to noon. This will allow you to wander around campus, see a few tailgates, Mike the Tiger, the band marching down the hill, and get inside the stadium early enough to experience all the pregame festivities. As others have mentioned, grabbing lunch (and some A/C) at either Walk On's or Chimes is also a good option.
2. Wear an outfit to denote you're from out of town (just not Ole Miss apparel). Whether it's a college or pro team, LSU fans love when football fans from around the country travel just to experience an LSU game day.
3. It's a veteran move to BYOB. LSU fans will certainly feed you if you're polite, introduce yourself and strike up a conversation, but generosity only extends so far. Don't be a mooch and bring your own booze.
