I’m about to pull the trigger on a new Polaris ranger 1k. Probably going to buy from Abernathy. They are $3502. Less than my local dealer.

Side by side recommendation
I am in the market for a side by side, and I’m having trouble narrowing it down. My options are Yamaha Viking, Polaris 900, Polaris 1000, and a Kawasaki Mule. It will be used mainly to scour hunting land, some occasional towing and hauling, but nothing to rigorous. Judging from the previous threads I’ve seen on here, Honda shouldn’t be considered. So I left them out. Any options I’m missing? Also, 4 seater would be preferred, but it’s not a must. What would you do? TIA
I have been in the market for a few years now and every time I am going to pull the trigger I hear of something new coming out that peaks my interest. I have been a Yamaha/Honda guy for the last 20 years so I waited for the new 1000 pioneer to come out and after some not so good reviews I passed. I was dead set on a Can-Am defender but am now leaning towards the Polaris XP 1000. I have never been a Polaris fan because they never seem to have the reliability of the Yamaha and Honda’s of the early 2000’s.

Mule or Viking.
The Viking is a great bike, just a little under powered. But it doesn't break. And 50hp isn't bad at all.
The muke comes with a 3yr warranty and the pro fxt is a great unit.
