HBO Just Quietly Removed All of Its Adult Content
quote:
As to why HBO chose to quietly remove all of its adult entertainment classics, a representative told The Wrap that the network remains committed to developing original programming, but “there hasn’t been a strong demand for this kind of adult programming, perhaps because it’s easily available elsewhere” — and by that they mean the internet, where sites like PornHub have made it easy (and free) to watch pornographic content at any hour of the day.

End of an era, HBO's politically correct now. I skimmed past Real Sports or whatever it is the other day, they were running a show talking about how pro football cheerleaders are exploited and unnecessary.

If CHEERLEADERS are bad, then gratuitous ta-ta's on latenight TV is definitely out.

And that sucks. That was all harmless fantasy, and a good release for young bucks coming up. It's the repressed ones that are browbeaten into thinking a sex drive is terrible, that end up with problems.

Who remembers getting up in the middle of the night to watch skinemax and naughty flicks on HBO while parents were sleeping?

I saw a tweet lamenting the loss of Real Sex where the person thought it’s the most sex positive show ever made. I kind of agree TBH. There were all kinds of wild things I learned about but it was never really done in the way porn treats kink now. Real Sex was just normal people getting their freak and was shot/edited in a way that didn’t feel exploitive like how 99% of modern porn does and it didn’t go out of its way to shame the participants like the vast majority of other sex docs (Hot Girls Wanted for example). You could actually learn something from that show.
