Yes this is appropriate for the PT board because all of the Pennsylvania grand jury on this was nothing but political theater. Most of the accusations were addressed 20yrs ago with remedies in place. The two recent supposed indictments will never see a court room. One has already been shown a farce and the other has wobbly legs; all of which will never be reported on. This is more about corrupt lawyers attempting to fleece the Catholic church than seeking justice for victims. New York and Florida will likely be next.
The real issue is with Francis covering for a homosexual predator Cardinal on young men. Benedict commissioned and sent Vigano to investigate these abusers and Francis squashed it hiding its findings and punishments.
I'm in the camp that if Francis actively hid these abusers then he needs to resign.
In the end this will all make for a more stronger and fruitful Catholic church to carry out its mission from Jesus(Matthew 16:19) to shepherd all of God's children.

It does not appear as if he is going to resign.

It looks like he's actually trying to double down by smuggling Wuerl out of the country.
This is actually a very serious problem. Even if he were to resign that leaves in place a corrupt college of cardinals to pick a replacement with the same sympathies. My gut instinct is for Roman Catholics who are actually Christian to walk...and I think on a spiritual level, this is the only God-honoring decision you can make at this point.
...but that leaves a LOT of historic and archeological material that is really critical to all Christians like the Shroud of Turin and the Veil of Veronica / Manapello Face in the hands of a God-hating gay priesthood. From that perspective this is far more complicated than just walking away from the Episcopalians and letting them have your 50 year old building and pension plan.
I don't know what the solution is for that. Perhaps the Russian Orthodox church can "arrange" for these relics to be transferred to Moscow. Given the demographic shifts in western Europe, perhaps this would be for the best anyway.
This is all just very sad, but the gates of hell shall not prevail against God's universal church regardless of what the geography of the matter is or what the sign outside the door reads. Pray for our Roman Catholic brothers and sisters this Sunday.

there are more important issues to worry about like MIGRANTS AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES
Romans 1
21 For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools 23 and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like a mortal human being and birds and animals and reptiles.
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error.
28 Furthermore, just as they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done. 29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they have no understanding, no fidelity, no love, no mercy. 32 Although they know God’s righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Certain many will scoff but you cannot deny what has happened...

I lived in Portland OR area and the sermon at mass one week was a four page letter from the Diocesan lawyer. That group was a criminal enterprise....not a church. I changed lanes that day.
