The Ivys would tell you that they don't offer "scholar-ships" as all their students are "scholars." However, they offer financial aid to "needy" applicants who are accepted.

Of course, Ivys want excellent athletes for their teams. Those who gained admission would get a grant/aid package to make schooling affordable, even free.

Most Ivies have a policy that if the student can get in the school, they will provide scholarships, grants or loans sufficient to permit that student to enroll and graduate, no matter how little income he or his parents may have. That applies to athletes who are admitted, as well.
So , yes, athletes often get scholarships. Not athletic scholarships.
