I know the consultant who was singing his praise....just saying maybe having a QB coach who can evaluate talent is better than listening to da consultants...

Scott was a late offer because we had an available scholarship and hadn't signed a QB in the class. Had that not been the case, it wouldn't have mattered what said "consultant" said about him, he wouldn't have had an offer from LSU in the first place. We didn't offer him until late January and he committed about a week later a few days from NSD. The rest of our highly rated guys like Brandon Harris had offers from everyone. I do agree that we haven't been the best at evaluating high school talent at the QB position, but we haven't exactly developed QBs well either. We have had far too many QBs never get better while with the program. I don't care if they weren't as talented as expected, not improving shouldn't happen at the rate it has at LSU.
