This young man continues to impress. His leadership and talent are unparalleled. They lost two of their brothers last week, so it’s understandable for the team to be upset. But for White to command the floor speaks bounds about him and his leadership. I sure as hell hope he continues to be dominant on and off the field.

I’ve always said White is the guy you want to rooot for.

He is awesome on the field, in the locker room and behind at the press conference.

The article on Nola.com makes this players only meeting sound awful. O losing the team before a snap is taken?

quote:

My whole was deal was just to push through camp," Battle said. "It was getting to the grind of it. Everybody's minds talking to themselves. 'Oh, I'm tired. I don't want to practice.' Just trying to motivate them and keep everybody going." None of the players would go into the specifics of the meeting, as it was a private team matter, but they all admitted there were tensions. "We got a lot of things going on that we don't agree with," Battle said, "but a lot of things have taken place, so we were just making sure guys stay on track, keeping everybody accountable. Protect the team at all costs."

There’s leaders all over the defense and at all levels. Who are the offensive leaders?

Yessir, you're right Devin White is awesome. He is exactly the type of person we want leading this program.

They didn’t lose two of their brothers. Two of their brothers quit on them. The fact that they needed a players only meeting to discuss that is laughable

Why does this players only meeting sound so bad?? Geez already... I'm assuming this is a product of poor coaching leadership. At least that's what it looks like

The fact that our players have to call meetings in fall camp to squash issues is either really good because we are a close knit group or it’s pathetic that our staff can’t handle kids in a manner that they receive the respect needed to be vocal leaders and keep everyone together.

There have only been three true offball inside LBs taken in the top 10 of the draft in the past decade.

2018: #8 Roquan Smith
2012: #9 Luke Kuechly
2010: #8 Rolando McClain

I think Devin could be the first top 5 pick at M/ILB since AJ Hawk in 2006.

Great Tiger and can’t wait to see how he wrecks the SEC this year

Leader. They should be having a meeting.

McMillan - Transfer
Narcisse - Transfer
Ingram - Suspended
Davis - Suspended
Taylor - Suspended
Fulton - Denied Appeal

Crazy $hit going on in Tigerland. Better right the ship before 9/2 or it could be a long night. White and the team obviously see the concentration is not where it needs to be.

A team meeting before the season is not a good sign. Already in disarray, how can we expect to field a team that's expected to play its best. If Coach O is fired it will be because of his inability to manage the team, not so much W's and L's. Last year it was Canada, this year it's a QB controversy. What else? What else?
